Term Two - The journey of our cells and our DNA.

This term we will be looking at biology and focussing on cells and DNA. We are linking this to the work we have been doing around journeys and using science to help us understand how people, including our ancestors have journeyed to get to Aotearoa/New Zealand.

We will be carrying out some investigations on our own family to see if we can identify traits...Don't worry...it doesn't hurt much!
We will learn how to conduct a simple scientific investigation, account for variables, hypothesize and explain what we found.

Below is a link to a game that helps us to understand the process scientists took to identify the various parts inside a cell (organelles)
Click here to play the animation game about cells and organelles.

The game helps you understand why we have only recently been able to investigate and understand what happens inside our cells and the jobs that each cell carries out.

WRITE 5 FACTS THAT YOU HAVE TAKEN FROM THE GAME.
